At Faned Mining Services, we are committed to our responsibilities in respect of Safety, Health & Environment, which are integral to the way we do business.

When we conduct our business of building a legacy that every employee, their families & future generations can be fiercely proud of, we will:

Develop, implement & maintain management systems for safety, health & the environment that are consistent with internationally recognized standards, and which enables us to;

  • Entrench safety as a value for our people which is not compromised,
  • Identify, assess and manage risks to employees, contractors, service providers & communities,
  • Strive to achieve industry best practice,
  • Meet and where appropriate, exceed applicable legal and other requirements,
  • Set and achieve targets that promote the efficient use of natural resources & include reducing & preventing the generation of waste & air pollution,
  • Minimise the impact of our activities on the climate change

In implementing this policy, we commit to open communication with our employees, contractors, service providers & communities to encourage a culture that reflects the intent of this policy.

We will regularly review our performance & report our progress & ensure that this policy remains relevant to the needs of stakeholders and the environment.

Environment policy

Faned Mining Services
is a comprehensive
organization operating
in energy, mining,
infrastructure, sectors,
with focus principally on
the developing world. It
is recognized that the
nature of these
operations could impact
on the environment.

We expect to :

  • Develop Environment Management Systems {EMS}, based on ISO 140001, a Culture of environmental awareness & training for the organization;
  • Comply with the Environmental Management Plan {EMP} of its customers/clients & relevant environmental legislation & to establish an EMP for use on contracts where the customer/client does not have a specific EMP;
  • Endeavour to influence subcontractors & suppliers to strive for environmentally responsible practices;

And:

  • Commit to the prevention of pollution & strive to ensure continuous improvement of Its environmental performance;
  • Take into consideration the environmental concerns of both the customer/client & Interested parties & to communicate the policy to all personnel Faned Mining Services.
  • Monitor & modify environmental management through review & audit of environmental Performance to ensure responsible development.

Responsibility – Accountability Policy

Rule 1
While we hold our leaders accountable for the
safety of our people and expect our managers
and supervisors to provide effective leadership
in safety, health and the environment

Rule 4
This requires the allocation of appropriate
resources and the provision of training,
education, consultation, audits & monitoring to
ensure compliance.

Rule 2
we equally expect all individuals to be
responsible for their own safety and safety of
others.

Rule 3
Management is responsible for full
implementation of safety, health, and
environment management systems.

Health policy

The policy of Faned Mining Services is to educate and keep employees informed on HIV/AIDS issues. We aim to successfully support HIV/AIDS measures and initiatives aimed at minimizing the impact and spreading of the disease. It also aims to create a supportive environment in the workplace, ensure the rights of employees living with HIV/AIDS are protected and ensure the rights of the company are respected.

Implementation of this policy is the responsibility of all Directors, Managers & supervisors. It’s the responsibility of all employees to keep informed about HIV/AIDS, to protect themselves & their families, to take appropriate action and seek counseling in the event of uncertainty.
